Stuttgart on October 3rd, 1926 showed that it had been a good idea.

A further very difficult and time-consuming task was the drawing up of a new family tree, which completed and continued the old one so that now all descendants of Johann Georg are included. It was especially difficult to include those lines of the family which had more or less lost contact. It was lucky that always a number of relatives lived in the capital (Stuttgart, who could be asked if necessary. For example the help of Jakob Friedrich Haeberlen (IX,9) who lived in Stuttgart and was born in Willsbach, made it possible to include the oldest family line into the family tree. Many members of the willsbach-line were present at the second family meeting in Weinsberg in the fall of 1929. Also it was possible to establish contact again with our American relatives with whom we had lost contact completely before World War I. All the material about the different family lines was collected and listed up by Kurt Haeberlen (X,128). In the following many relatives wished to have a copy of this list, which was not possible because of the size of the list. So he re-organized the list and now everybody will be able to f ind his name in this book.

A real family chronicle would not only list names and dates, but should try to relate the history of the family and the destinies of the family members.
